I recently acquired a mid 80's japanese bianchi sport sx. tange 900/ suntour alpha 5000/ sugino group
serial # l 5602413. any help on dates info based on serial # appreciated

Just a hunch.
If the first digit is an I that could mean the 9th month which would be September. If it is an L that would mean December. The second digit 5 could indicate the year which would be 1985.
Put it together and possibly it means you have a 1986 bike that was made in September or December of 1985.
