need some info on new catch






can anyone give me some info as to age,history ,etc of this bike?the tires are "viking" and are written in norweign.

What brand of saddle is that? From the looks of it I'd guess early 50's...It looks like a 49 stamped on the headtube. Maybe it is a 49.

Its certainly the style of the early 50's later 40's.

No idea, but that is one wicked cool old bike! Makes you wonder how that thing got to Indiana, the story it could probably tell!

thanks,i actually may have gotten it near your neighborhood iab.it was an e bay 'pickup only'.winning bid was $117.it was up by irving park rd & belmont. saddle has no name.

Wow, Thats really close to me. Never saw it on ebay, and I've been looking lately. Absolutely beautiful bike. Everything about it, the rack, fenders, dyno-hub. Like the "Hood ornament" too.

they dont last long here. the enviroment destroys them . now most of our city/commuter bikes have them made in plastic ,it's terrible .
but they do save the dresses from ending in the rear wheel

Man.....I LOVE that bike! I've got a set of fenders and the skirt guard to go with it kinda like those. Can't wait to find the right mixte frame to put them on for the GF. Geez....Even the chainguard is cool. Love it! Just absolutely love it!
