Kent Velodrome

Anyone ever hear or see one of these? Kent Velodrome 10 speed. One came up for sale near me but I have not seen it.

I called the owner and it had the shifters on the stem and the derailers were Falcon. That told me it was a very low entry level bike. I didn't go look at it.

Darn, I was getting excited thinking that the City of Kent, WA, was going to install a velodrome, too!

I was thinking the same thing since I'm from Kent. Darn.

Isn't there one at Marymoor?

Am I the only one that thinks a bike called the "Velodrome" being a 10-speed is kind of... funny?

Yes, I live in Kent (near Fairwood). Haven't meet me since I go to school in Hawaii.

I'll be back December 20th for Christmas though! I don't have any bikes at home though =[

Well, my husband has a whopping big Schwinn LeTour he doesn't use much (he prefers the MTB), so let me know if you'd like to borrow it whilst you are here .

I thought a name Velodrome was odd for a 10 speed also. I read in newspaper that they are going to build a Velodrome near Rock-Hill SC this summer. Thats about 50 miles from me but it should be fun when it's done. Maybe I should have bought that bike so I could ride it there,Ha Ha.

Marketing. Many times manufacturers will name something that only has a tenuous connection to the actual product. I doubt anyone ever competed in the TDF on a Schwinn Le Tour or competed at Le Mans in a Pontiac of that name.
