Well, we had some beautiful weather up here in the PNW, and it appears a few of us local BFers got out to enjoy it.
I headed across on the ferry (Clinton/Mukilteo) today, too. Rode from Mukilteo to Edmonds to Seattle and back. I am sore and very tired, too.
Ran out of photo room on the camera (I need a flash-card!) after the pics at my old house, but more next time.

Rode down to Lake Samish today, circled it, and then rode home. A complete overhaul of my bike yesterday definitely helped today, but I'm still an awful climber and not in especially good shape in general. Despite my lack of strength, it was still a wonderful ride. Hopefully next time I'll ride a little farther.

Thanks Jim! You're sure getting a lot of mileage on that tandem, which is great. I only wish we had as many opportunities to ride our tandem as you do yours.

Nice pics of your ride northbend. I'm sure the beer only added to the experience.

Thanks! I'm hoping I'll become a better climber eventually. I moved here eight months ago from middle TN, and the few hills there are nothing like the ones here. Adequate cycling condition back home practically equals couch potato here. (Notice I said "adequate" )

Today I shoehorned a 44 mile ride into my activities. I rode, you guessed it, the Norman Rapide loaner bike. The temperatures managed to hit the low 80's and I rode at a blistering 15.7 mph average speed and was in top gear most of the time. Seems the speed isn't too bad considering I'm not a racer and don't aspire to ever do so. The ride I took was from Big Pool at the start of the Western Maryland Rail Trail to the end of the trail at Pearre Station and then I doubled back on the trail.

48 mile Training ride to prepare for the Cascade100 MTB race this July. Todays ride comprised about 50% single track strung together in the Tolt McDonald, Flying Eagle, Duthie Hill and Grand Ridge regional parks. I left patches of skin in nearly eve one of them.
We set a fast tempo to get out of town and onto the trails. I have no time for photo's after these of my ride partners. I was too busy riding.

Today, I rode all of 8.3 miles. By the time I arrived home it was late but I wanted to get a little exercise and blow off some steam, so that's about all I could do. I rode the Peugeot PX-8 tonight. It's been January since she's been out for a ride so she's feeling a little bit neglected lately.

I just did my 18mi loop around town today and yesterday but WOW does it feel good to ride again after not riding but a few short trips last fall. yesterday I must looked pretty foolish as I just could not keep from grinning as a cruised along on the Batavus. It just felt so good to be out and enjoying the nice weather. The down side was forgetting sunscreen and getting a mild sunburn.
This reminds me of my brothers house out in (on?) Gig harbour.

Thanks!
PG: I, too, am interested in knowing where you get the light-tan bar tape. I have a nice, drilled-hide Arius saddle and the Norman's bar tape looks a perfect match.

My bike can be considered a classic - it is a Yo Eddy from the last year of production before going out of business in 2000. The founder of Fat City Cycles, Chris Chance,

is in the Mountain Bike hall of fame. Welders from his shop went on and spawned the likes of Ind. Fabrication and Seven Cycles..

i answered vladimir's [blah!] cl post to buy his campy bracket shifters, cable guide and a very ugly fd, all for maybe a fourth of its separate ebay value. he couldn't meet me halfway anywhere nearer seattle. so i biked over to redmond, over 60 miles round trip for me. on my way back, it was getting dark, and my arse hurt, so i stopped off at mercer island's 'park on the lid' and held my phone up to its exhaust towers above the i-90 tunnel. helluva ride for shifters, but they're pretty and shiny (and cheap).
