Wow again. VR, you must pic your bike to match the color of the scenery you're going to ride through. 
djk, that really looks like fun. Question, where'd all the camping gear come from? You weren't carrying it in the riding pics!
I just rode my commute again today, but the Gazelle made it an exciting ride.

Drove from Sacramento to Silver Fork Campground. Had a base camp with friends. Great way to explore the area. I slept under the stars last night. First time in quite a while.

Lots of great pics, everyone! Really inspires me to get out and ride seeing all the beautiful sites in this thread lately. @djkashuba, definitely going to keep Silver Fork in mind next time we go camping.
I rode to the usual ~8-mile commute to work. Then realized it's street sweeping day, so I headed home & back during lunch. Back home for a total ~32-mile commute. The commute is nothing special--actually kind of dicey at times, but the view from the office overlooking Lake Merritt next to downtown Oakland is nice.

I did my usual commute, a rather nice day for riding, heavier traffic than I've seen lately but pleasantly cool weather. On the way in this morning I came upon two 30-something guys dressed in full bike regalia and speaking with strong British accents, one at least looking very fit, off to the side of the Minuteman Bikeway with a bike upside down. As I always do I slowed and asked if they had everything they needed. One guy said not really. They were trying to fix a flat and having trouble with a CO2 canister. Ah, I had a frame pump, silly Luddite that I am. I offered and they accepted, seemed surprised when I said I could get 90psi. We had a pleasant conversation, they were heading to Billerica to work, me off to Woburn. They thanked me and I took off. Half a mile later the fit one, apparently having left his friend behind to reassemble his bike, passed me by a good 50% faster than I was going. I thought I was trucking along pretty good! He thanked me again as he passed.
I really hate being passed by guys 50% my age going 50% faster than I'm going! That happens more often than I'd like!

Took the Cino Heroica bike build out for it's maiden voyage. Got 20 trouble free miles in. Only real change to make would swapping a wider set of bars on.

This was a new one for me.
Its only been a month since completing this build. Wheels are newly built as well but with 50 plus year old parts including the spokes. Lots of fragile parts on this baby. Approx. 3 miles into my 40 for this evening, during a shift and all of a sudden I hear a cling, clanging mayhem! Thought a wheel came apart, perhaps tire saver blew apart or derailleur mishap. Stopped imediately and looked things over. All looked good so I wonder what the hell happened? Only conclusion left was I ran over something but don't recall seeing anything. Turned around and sure enough, found this. Whew!

Yes, you can see the Czech Republic from the top of the local church.
Today we did a small driving tour. Saw a place called Fahrenberg. The climb from Pleystein is 300 meters over 3km. Unfortunately early tomorrow I head for Munich. Next time.

So, what is it? Was it from your bike, or just some random metal scrap on the road?
I was recently riding home non my commute and heard a faint metal clinking sound. Almost didn't stop, but glad I did. Under a parked car, I found a Lyotard dust cap which had just fallen off from my pedal. Whew!

Turning off of NC 24 towards the beaches....
Just before the bridge in the background. I did not have the nerve to stop at the top for pictures. The railing is 2' high, the drop is significant, and this is into a 1/4 crosswind from the left. Traffic was not forgiving, and the recent rains have the side full of debris.
Great little pub on the mainland side, Swansboro. Staffed by my past riding partner, who prefers to spend her summers at the beach...
Swansboro by the sea. Long-time fishing village, sandwiched between Camp LeJuene and the beaches of the Outer Banks.
The one bridge I did have the ability to stop on, over the White Oak "river" that becomes the lower part of the Intercoastal Waterway...

I've done the island complete, twice, and today out and about up toward Camp LeJuene, tomorrow may be the Belgrade-Swansboro Rd, or just do the island again. I missed the island today, the one day in sixty where the wind blows the opposite direction, and I'd have had that 15mph tailwind on the way home...

Camp Lejeune is just right down the road, lots of our riders are grunts, lost a few to the usual rotations. Good Joes.

It's early in the morning and I'm out the door for work in a couple of minutes. I've got a picture of myself in my younger days standing in front of an old Cady similar to that one. I'll try to find it and get it posted up this afternoon, it's worth a laugh. I'm pushing 60 now and bald as can be. In the picture I had nice shoulder length hair, and I think I was about 18!
