Any impressions on this? I did some searching, but it's not clear to me whether this is a mountain, hyrbrid, or road frame. Any thoughts?
It's a hybrid from the 90s, so it takes 700c. Very good all-around/commuter frames with lots of braze-ons. Could also be built into a dedicated touring rig. I'm always concerned about frames with missing forks, though. Be sure to check for damage to the top and down tubes if you're interested.

I'm so accustomed to thinking of beagles as rabbit dogs that seeing one indoors is sort of shocking.

Sweet little bike...

https://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/bik/1023835687.html
I'm moving and need to sell my 1985 vintage road bike. I bought it new, and it has lots of miles left. It was made by a Spanish frame company called Razeza, and features Columbus tubing. The group set is Campy Nuovo Gran Sport, the handle bars are Cinelli, and the rims are Mavic. It still has high pressure sew-up tires, and I have one spare that goes along with the bike. The sew-ups have proven to be extremely durable. I bought it Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and did some racing there, and it performed well on the roads there. It may need to re-geared to handle the steep hills in Marin. Other than that, it is a great bike. I look forward to hearing from you.

I was wondering how the potential buyer might get this freewheel off if it is on tight (which I suspect it might be from reading the ad):

Maybe you could use some fiberfixes to relace to a rim? Or maybe clamping the axel in an axel vise really strong. You'd probably ruin the axel though.

Just an update for the local folks around Milwaukee, I stopped at this sellers place, a warehouse property in the middle of a neighborhood next to an inner city park. He wouldn't let me look at his other bikes still inside the trailer, just the ones he had already pulled out and put inside the building. Looks like he does some building cleanouts for foreclosures or something and has a whole bunch of a variety of things, pretty much everything in as-found condition. All the bikes, maybe 12 or so, that he had lined up needed some work, some a little, some more. The Schwinn Continental or Varsity (I forget which but it was yellow and is in his other CL ad) measures out to about 50cm on the seat tube. He's also got a German made folder, also in need of a major cleaning and overhaul. I have no idea what his prices are like but did somehow get him to say other bikes he's sold went for $30 $40 $50 or more dollars. Seems like a wheeler/dealer and might be fun to negotiate a deal with if he had something that I wanted. Oh, and even though the ad's make it sound like he's a motivated seller, the impression I got is that he "has all day to work a deal" if you know what I mean.

I might go back if I see a future posting of his with something that I'm very interested in, but until then it's "been there, seen that, next stop".

Have fun getting that off. I twisted a hub once trying to get one off by just lacing the far end and using a half-laced wheel. I think there's a dialog on SheldonBrown.com about taking the freewheel apart clear down to the pawls and working at it that way. I know in the past year or so on the site here the issue was discussed as well. These days when I see something like that I don't even bother with it. Sometimes they come off easy, sometimes they don't

But wouldn't the axle spin independently? I think the hub body is what needs to be fixed, but try that w/o injury!

I bought a very nice set of Campy Record hubs from an eBay seller and the rear came attached to the the freewheel just like that--I should have been suspicious when he called the freewheel a clog in his listing--and the guys at my favorite lbs who are very experienced and inventive mechanics tried the axle vise trick, the half threaded wheel with freewheel remover tool clamped into a bench vise, and a couple of chain whips over sections of old inner tube with cheater bars and nothing would bust the fkr loose short of destroying the hub; and this was after bathing the whole thing in penetrating oil for a couple of days before trying anything. The seller said it came to him that way and he just assumed it would come off and was very gracious about accepting the combo back and returning my full purchase price, so I got the front hub for the price of shipping.

Vintage tall road bike - $135 (madison - west) Hellooooo SingeDebile????

I bought this new in 1980. Replaced many parts over the years with better ones. New panaracer pasela tires last year (and tubes), nice seat which is newer. Could use a tune up, wheels trued last year. It's a 26" Panasonic DX-3000 w/ 4130 tubing and 700 wheels (originaly 27" wheels).

Note: this is a 65cm bike, TALL bicycle, if you are under 6'3" don't fool your self thinking you will straddle the cross bar. I'm 6'4" and can barely straddle it. I think this is the only 65 cm bike ever made by mass production. Miyata, Fuji, Panasonic all had 27" frames but the first generation DX3000 was unique in it's size of a 26" frame.

I second the use of a 1/2" air impact to remove the freewheel. I do this all the time. You don't need to clamp the hub, just have someone hold it.

I'd dismantle the hub as much as possible and try clamping the freewheel body in vise.....it that didnt work I'd split with a carbide cutting blade in a Dremel tool. 5 minutes....tops...
