Can you date my Schwinn?

Can someone tell me about my Le Tour? Stamped on the left dropout= SE014127. I've looked at a bunch of sites and can't seem to find any info. Thanks!

I could date your schwinn but I don't know if Schwinn would approve.
(I can't be the first person to say that)

SE014127 is May 1980, or May 1990. It would certainly help to have clear photos of the bike so we could see the decaling, or a list of the components.

You could also try to see if you recognize the bike from the catalog pictures:

1980 Super Le Tour catalog page

1990 Voyageur and Le Tour catalog page

oh great.. hey thanks for the scoop scooper. I had posted up on several other boards with no response. Thank you.

I could've sworn the original owner said it was a 74. It definitely matches the 1980 catalog to a t.

And the "S" at the beginning.. Does that mean the bike was built in Japan?
btw, here's a pic of it: https://www.bikeforums.net/showpost.p...9&postcount=56
