Parts sizing question

I have a early 80 Colnago I am playing with and have a few parts questions... I want to replace the cinelli stem with a longer one. It is 80 and I want a 100. What size would normally be on it 26 or 26.4? I also want to put a Cinelli seat post on it and again... what size is the post diameter most likely to be?

Thanks...

Here is a pic though I have swapped the group set to Campy Cetaur and the rims are now black Eastons. I need a new pic.

The seat post is almost certainly going to be 27.2mm. Look at your current one to confirm, there's likely a marking on it nearer the bottom end than the top.

The bars on most Cinellis are 26.4. If in doubt, ask whomever you're buying from.

Good luck finding that Cinelli seatpost (I think you mean Campagnolo.)

With that expensive and nice a bike you can afford to invest in a good digital caliper and then you won't have to guess or get wrong answers. Roger

If that's your setup in the pic, you may have difficulty finding a period post that will get your saddle high enough. An older saddle might help, as in many cases the distance from the rails to the top will be larger than with contemporary saddles, but it might not help enough.

That pic is just after I bought it and the seat is now about an inch lower. Thanks for the advise on the post though... you might be right.
