Yokota Terminator

I've been hoping to pick up an elevated chainstay bike one of these days, when I saw this listed locally. It's a Yokota Terminator. I'd heard of Yokota before, but hadn't heard of this model...until now. Seems to be rarer than the Nishiki and Haro elevated chainstay bikes that one usually sees.

Another vintage mountain bike (my guess is it's circa 1991) in nearly-new condition.

I learn a new thing everyday in this forum. That's the first time I hear about elevated chaistay. Gives the bike a cleaner look. What are the advantages of that kinda frame. Nice looking bike, by the way.

Just saw one today and thought it was nice. You can take out the chain without breaking it. I heard those frames are flexy, though.

A Yokota Terminator? Or an elevated chainstay bike? I'm just curious, because I've never seen or heard of a Yokota Terminator..until now.

Yep, it's in practically new condition. The wheels are mis-matched, but that's easy to fix. I love the way they look too, and said the same thing you're saying-- "One of these days..."
