The Fabulous Fake Fuchsia Rossin arrives (PICTURES)

...virtually straight out of the box, save for a pair of Mavic 192 rims laced to Sovos hubs (if anyone happens to have some spare Mavic 192's, give me a shout!).

Thanks Gilberto!

YES!!!! I was wondering when you were going to let me know if you got it. So was it easy to put together?? I have to take pictures of the Raleigh as I have it all set up with a few add ons. Glad this worked out for both of us. Oddly; now that it's not mine; I like it more.

That looks like genuine fuschia to me.

Nice bicycle Kurt.

Who knew that such a horrible color could look so nice? It's amazing what a beautiful bike can do.

Do you think that they make us look better?

Nice bike. Congrats!

Pretty easy - got it around 10:15, had it mocked up by 11:45 or so (and it took another 30 minutes to clear the room of tools ). I have yet to tie down the brake cables or crankset - figured I'd replace the cables and polish up the BB/crankset first.

I'll hold you to those Raleigh photos

You bet. Even though this machine is technically for Mum, I definitely intend to "repossess" it occasionally - that two-tone magenta/fuschia color is absolutely stunning in person. It literally screams "I need to move. Fast. Now."

Horrible color? . Not in this instance. I'd say the frameset and the color compliment each other nicely. Same for the "progressive arrow" Rossin decals.

I think we make bikes look pretty pathetic

I'm having flashbacks of Jan Ullrich, Vinokourov, Kloden, Sinkewitz, Geudreman, and the other former T-Mobile riders.

Remember to give Mum some good brakes.

I'll ride a pink bike, but I won't wear a pink jersey - that is for sure. TI-Raleigh, now...there's a different story.

Campagnolo-pattern Kool-Stop pads should do the trick.

On a side note, I'm positive that I've found a fork crown match (I still don't know what this thing is):

PX-10:

Not that I'm suggesting that this is a PX-10 - the threading is English - but the crowns might just be a link. I'm not sure if this is a Nervex crown or not though (and I've seen it on the stock PX-10's with a Nervex Pro main lugset) - Miamijim might be able to answer that.
