Painted-Over SCHWINN, Must Be a...
Normally I wouldn't even take a Schwinn (sorry Schwinn lovers), but this one somehow caught my eye and like a stray kitten in need of a home, I took her. There are very few markings and I'm wondering what series it might be. I don't have any knowledge like I do for Raleighs. Here's what I know:
Front badge has the following digits: 3209. From a past Schwinn SN post, I assumed this to be an 89 until I noticed the registration sticker (Expires Aug. 31, 1981)?? It has chromed fork and rear stays - normally an indication it's better than bottom-of-the-line. I can post more pics if you like.

My guess is a Super Le Tour II, late 1979 model made in Chicago,
but more likely a Voyageur 11.8, early 1980 model, with the chrome rear stays made in Japan. In Both cases, a nice Schwinn.
