- Elliott Bay Cycles, where co-owner Bob Freeman displays about 50 restored, classic vintage bikes in the store. He's got a particularly interesting collection of old British bikes, but plenty of Italian, other bikes as well. Also there are usually a number of vintage bare frames for sale, various customer bikes in for restoration, and several bikes there on consignment. The shop is also home to www.davidsoncycles.com.

- Il Vecchio in Leschi, on the shore of Lake Washington. Very small "bike boutique," the shop also hosts the office of Bicycle Quarterly. There are usually 8 to 10 very interesting bikes in the store, including 3 to 5 Alex Singer and Rene Herse's (either the store owners or bikes belonging to the editor of Bicycle Quarterly). Usually a couple of other interesting bikes as well, both new and used -- I was in Saturday and hanging in the window was a NOS Colnago Arabesque with a complete, unridden Campy 50th Century gruppo; a vintage Tom Ritchey MTB; a couple of new Landsharks, etc. etc.
Thanks for listing these, I didnt know they existed. I'm gonna head up to Seattle soon with my wife so we can check em out. And thanks to the OP for posting his pics as well.

One thing I find fascinating are the curved tubing/chainstay bikes. Fascinating in that I had no idea that the concept was so old, I thought curved tubing was a fairly recent idea.

Before you head up to Seattle you might want to note the date of that post. Both Elliott Bay Cycles and Il Vecchio have since closed their doors. Luckily Classic Cycle is still in business.
