50+ photos - Volksblast VLW show: minty Paramounts, chrome Bob Jackson pista, etc.
One fellow brought five Paramounts (not shown in this lineup is his white PDG). He has 9 Paramounts in total.

I fell in love with his '61 - pretty much a dead ringer for mine, with exception to the chrome lug option:

Bob Jackson and Paramount (both for sale):

This took me for a loop. Chrome '73 Paramount w/Dura-Ace AX. Pre-'70 ladies all-chrome sits next to it. These two are owned by Mack Cyclery:

'76 Paramount Track, #H7644. Also one of the Mack Cyclery machines (in addition to these, they have a Kool Yellow Paramount tandem, chrome '71/2, and an NOS, black '73-76 sprint-tube road Paramount on display at the shop).

Did he let you take a ride on the Sports Tourer? You need to take a spin on a fillet brazed Schwinn. A very different ride from a '60s-'70s Paramount.

Aforementioned Herse-knockoff end treatment. Cheap, but interesting. Hardly any brass in them:

Nice photos Kurt! The 60's Continental is pretty cool, and of course the chrome is always great.
I was tempted to head down there, but I found out about it at the last minute after I'd already made other plans.

Need I mention the Dura-Ace calipers that a friend jumped on for $15 before I could?
He also had a set of D/A calipers + levers + shifters for $40. No hoods. Passed on it.
Let's see - you have four Paramounts...that would have made 13 Paramounts at the show.
There were 9 as it was, and the total attendance was comprised of no more then 46 bikes spread out amongst 4 individuals and the shop. Pretty darn good turnout of Paramounts in a city that has a reasonably limited bicycle fan base.

Any story behind the drilled out campy track hubs? I have a set and have always wondered if the factory drilled them or it was a do-it-yourself job. I've seen another set on a parmount track at cycles d'oro also...

I got a set with a Paramount not too long ago. I am going to tear the set down, then clean/polish and relace with some better hook bead rims. They came with the bent old style QR's, too.
