questions on schwinn breeze & flandria olimpic?

Hi all. My husband and I have recently purchased a home and found 2 old bikes in the shed. I have no knowledge on bicycles or if they are valuable. Can somebody please lend their expertise? The first one is a yellow schwinn breeze 3 speed bike. Everything seems intact except for some minor paint wear and rust on the fenders. It's a girls or ladies bike. The second is a blue flandria. The seat has the following markings 'oureur' and 'san margo'. The label on the base of the bike says 'made in portugal'. At the base of the handlebars says 'olimpic'. It appears to be a 10 speed? and intact except for some very minor paint wear and the handlebars have appeared to be crumbly and cracking(the foam part). I don't know if they are worth anything or not. I looked on ebay and found the schwinn breeze in 1 and 2 speeds only. Nothing on the flandria. Thanks so much for any help that you could provide..

Well the Breeze isn't really worth much of anything, its a mass produced 3spd with an Archer Sturmey 3spd setup... my mom had a purple one many years ago. Its kind of a cool bike but is too common and not unique/innovative/rare/interesting enough to really be worth a whole lot.

And about the Flandria from Sheldon Brown, a guru of anything bike related:
"...actually Belgian, not French. Most Flandrias seen in the U.S. were low end bike-boom clunkers, some of them made in Portugal."

So the Flandria probably isn't worth much either sorry to say. You can always fix them up and ride them, but I wouldn't put much into them personally, unless they have sentimental value.

Can you tell me anything else about the Schwinn Breeze? I JUST got one exactly the way she described and I'd like to know the year it was made. Or if you could give me a site that has any info on them. I'm trying to restore it as best as possible. Thank you

You might ask on the Schwinn collectors forum - http://www.schwinnbike.com/heritage/....php?forumid=4
