Off topic but still C&V

Since I don't cruise any car forums anymore this is the best place I could think of to share this really nicely restored 912 I saw walking back from class today. I figured at least one person might appreciate it. Sorry for the crappy cell phone picture. I wish I could have snagged a few more but I didn't want to be a creeper in front off everybody getting out of class.

My college roommate had one. He rebuilt the engine in our kitchen. We lost our deposit.

I was the proud owner of a red 356C with electric sunroof till my rat of a drunken brother destroyed it in a California mountain ditch. And I still get all every time I think about it.

I have always liked the Porsches of that vintage. Very clean looking. I recently did work for a client who had a very nice 73 911. Probably the last year before the huge bumpers.

I love the original 240Z's, too. Not too many of those around any more.

I used to have a 1984 Carrera coupe. A beautiful car, fun to drive, and as reliable as a Swiss watch. It was my daily driver for 13 years, and I sold it last summer on eBay - it had 153,000+ miles on it. A guy flew out from Oklahoma, gave me cash, and drove it home.

I miss that car. >SNIFF<

Pretty much one of my realistic dream cars right there. That silhouette will never go out of style IMO.

Is it a 4 door wagon? I don't know much about these cars, I like the coupes as well, but the 4 door wagon is the perfect blend of looking really classy while still maintaining good utility. I used to ride buy a mint red 2 door coupe on my way to school when I lived in vancouver every day. That is how I feel in love with the look of these old volvos.

Four door wagon for sure. Have had it since new (well, picked it up at the factory with my dad when I was 13), still a daily driver!

That depends does a 1973 XB GT Ford Falcon Coupe with a mythical supercharger count?

I used to have a 1970 Rover 3500S. Had about 50K miles on it. I sold it in 1997 because I had just bought a fixer house that needed a roof and I was tapped out from everything else. The guy that bought it shipped it back to England, where hopefully it is living happily.

If I had been in a place with a bigger garage and had more cash, things would have been different.

I had one of those volvo wagons. lovely little thing. Someone had put a 144 motor in it with a hot cam and a weber carb. The odometer had broken at 250,000. It got me through a Minnesota winter.
Before that there was a 260Z 2+2. The only year for the long wheelbase and the dainty little bumpers. I put a 280 EFI motor in it.
Both cars I shoulda kept. got rid of them both before the digital camera days, no pics.
I do love the skinny bumper Porsches. Elegant. all the fins and spoilers and DOT bumpers just weigh them down visually. I like the dainty pre DOT bumpers on most cars.
