Benotto Modelo 3000 ( Bent Fork )
So I have posted this topic before and got some helpful replies but no one gave me any specific names...
I have a 81 Modelo 3000
The fork is SLIGHTLY bent, the frame has taken no ripple Im almost positive.
The accident was a total fluke, if you read my other post then you know the story.
What Im hoping for here some guidance as to who to send my fork or frame/fork to.
Its Columbus steel campy tips, sloped crown, all kinds of chrome and some Benotto pantagraphing... basically its not the cheap Mexican stuff so I'm totally willing to go all out on a quality repair.
Thanks alot everyone
-Kellen

A C&V friendly bike shop should have a jig to repair your bent fork. Ask them about it. It shouldn't cost too much either, maybe $30.00 at most if the bend is in the arms.
If the bend is at the steerer tube, fork crown junction, you'll need to see a frame builder for that repair.

Yup a competent bike shop can repair a bent fork... but I'd say a minority today have the fork straightening gauge and the know how to do it.
