I want it!

Man I'm drooling over this Peugeot. Is there any reason why I shouldn't buy it?

no, buy it now. Offer $75 first, though.

Because it doesn't fit you. Otherwise no, go buy it.

Nice Peugeot, good price. Too good. Is the fork bent? Rims are mismatched. Check it over carefully.

Upper, entry level UO-10 model, circa 1979-1981, with non-original rear derailleur. +1 on the rims. The front appears to be original but I may be wrong. Just in case, have a good look at the forks blades and just behind the head tube lugs for signs of bent tubes. If there is any rippling, cracking or peeling of the paint in this area, it's been in a crash. It looks OK from the pics, but check it out, to be safe. Additionally, that stem looks like it's not inserted far enough. Make sure it's inserted to the hash lines, before you test ride it.

you shouldn't buy something that makes you drool...it's messy.

I doubt it.

It's the first time I've seen this particular bike listed, but this seller has a half dozen other bikes he's been listing for months that haven't sold. Granted, they are all about $100 more expensive, but they are also each $100 more of a bike than this. I would provide some examples, but it appears he took all the other ads down. I seem to remember a slightly upscale Peugeot, Reynolds 501 main tubes I think, and a Ross Signature with Shimano 600EX, among others.

He does price them a bit high, I think, but he cleans them up nicely. Market has been dead here recently, however.

He told me I'm the 4th to ask to see it and he'll let me know what happens. If any of the other 3 are smart I won't get to see it.
