This is a "given", especially if the price is low, or free. Also, I always thoroughly check out any yard sale/thrift store bike for desireable add ons by the previous owner. One of my best Brooks saddles & some Campy pedals came off an otherwise unremarkable bike boom 10 speed equipped with entry level DiaCompe/SunTour/Sugino parts. Don

For the last 30 years or so I've picked up anything for the bikes I like so I have what I need when I'm building a bike. I still frequent ebay and pick up more and more, if the price is right or its something I really want. Somethings have gotten harder to find, so I'm glad I picked up stuff years ago.
Lately its been French bottom brackets and headsets, even though I have only 1 French bike!
I bet I easily have close to 20 bikes in high quality parts and 30 or so complete...
