Old Hawthorne Bicycle
Hello,
I'm new to bike forums.I am wondering if there is anyway to identify the year of my old hawthorne bicycle?Any response would be greatly appreciated.I'm 66 years old and can bearly get around on my PC.I love old bicycles and work on them.The serial number of my bike is J14298 with a#45 stamped directly below the serial#,located on the underside of the frame,beneath the crank.Please help!!

Pics might help. In any event, see if you can find a catalog or similar Hawthorne posted at nostalgic.net. Also, try posting your question at the thecabe.com. Take some digital pictures and post them.
