Is it just me, or does it look like someone backed into the garage drunk one night? That left chainstay looks completely tweaked?,,,,BD
WAAAAAAAAAY too much.
WTF is with the seat post.
Looks like a Tri seatpost. Don't know why it's on a bike without aerobars.
A nice looking frame, until you flip it over.,,,,BD
Nice handlebar angle, too.
here we nothing like something being 3 decades old to make worth 10x what it sold for new.
'83 Trofeo (actually I think closer to '86) $6382.62
Giant Hipster ******bag Bianchi Fixed Gear Track Bike w/ Nexus Hub - $600
Are you a gangly monster in search of the perfect bike? Do you buy your tight, black jeans with an inseam > 34 inches? Oh man, do I have the perfect ride for you. I'm selling a chrome 62cm Bianchi Pista track bike, the absolute limit in velodrome racing technology and the perfect accessory for rolling up on any Mission location. It comes with two very different rear wheels: Wheel #1 features the original fixed/freewheel hub, and Wheel #2 - much the same as Wheel #1, BUT... this one is laced to a Nexus 3-speed hub for your gear-shifting pleasure! Oh, and what's this? It comes with a big, black U-lock you can jam in your belt? Yes, it does!
Are you still reading this? Do you have $600 or Something Awesome to Trade + $X? Email me an email! Right now! Pictures on their way.
- it's NOT ok to contact this poster with services or other commercial interests
How about $650 for a bare frame and fork with tons of paint nicks.
Raleigh Professional Frame Fork 58cm 531 1973
So you paid a "couple thousand " for the bike, have no idea how old it is, take pictures with a tape measure yet don't list size, and it weighs 8 lbs. I know I am new to road biking, but I am pretty sure 8lbs isnt possible. Thats great.
Never mind, I know 8 lbs is possible, just meant impossible for someone to spend that amount of money and time on a bike and not know its size/ not use it for 7 years
No idea what it's worth but the first line gave me a chuckle.
on another note, anybody recognize this? Or have any knowledge as to why it would be worth 500 bucks? (I highly doubt it is ...)Quote:
"55 cm aluminum Cervelo P3. This bike is FAST, not only because of good engineering, but also because it looks and feels fast which is a huge mental boost. Complete with Hed 3 clincher carbon wheelset with aluminum braking surface and Tufo C-Jet Special tires. Hed 3's have more top 10 Tour de France TT finishes in the last 10 years than any other wheel. Solid, reliable Ultegra shifters and derailleurs. Ultegra crank with adjustable position Rotor Q Rings to minimize fatigue and improve power, especially on climbs later in the ride. Profile Design carbon BDC aero fork. Super aerodynamic and stable integrated Tri-Max bar. Tri-specific Selle Italia saddle. Comes with two two-position seatposts - different length stems for taller or shorter rider (I'm 6' 0" and had to buy the longer post to have enough length inside the tube for safety). Profile Design aero drink bottle and mounting bracket in aerobars and removable dual bottle cage mounted to rear seat rails. Look Keo Classic pedals available if that's what you ride. Awesome bike, but back pain prevents me racing anymore, so I have to sell. $2900 firm."
"monte carlo pro bike
mint shape, dia comp brakes, suntour seven gears,27 inch frame, norco deluxe tires"
Huh? Anyone catch the model name or size? I'd find that far more interesting than Italian leather seat, orae grips, and italian eliet rims.Quote:

Though I think it's been proven that "feeling" that your bike is fast is actually a slight confidence booster, though a negligible performance boost.
Good for selling though, the manufacturers do it all the time.
