Hate to say it, but IMHO, 5-6 hundred is still nuts. $325 at the most in my opinion, and that is because of the condition. Condition aside, it's still a proprietary tubed Japanese bike with Sugino cranks, Mountech derailleurs, and Dia Compe brakes. Bonus points for the Professional, but.,,,,BD

I agree. You can't buy a touring bike that nice off the shelf for $600.

here is a great oppurtunity to save $2800 on a Mixtie (the sellers words not mine) by buying one with a possibly bent frame and fork

shipping, escrow, or any promise of transaction protection/certification/guarantee. More info
Univega Nuovo Sport Mixte Road Bike (Unisex) - $95 (Portland)

Date: 2010-06-17, 2:25PM EDT
Reply to: sale-8ty8b-1797018429@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

A high-end mixte* which makes it a mid-level road bike: Cro-Mo frame, Suntour Cyclone rear derailleur (2nd to top of the line), Suntour downtube shifters (always a good sign), nice alloy crank and rims. Shifts and brakes well, rides smooth, seat is a little u-l-g-y but comfortable (upgrades are available). Size is smallish, I'd estimate good for riders 5'5"-5'9". Mixtes were built as unisex, good for those who are disinclined to throw their legs over top tubes (like if you have a child seat on the back). Mixte bikes are enjoying a bit of a renaissance see for example:
http://www.rivbike.com/products/show/yves-gomez/50-704
or
http://www.somafab.com/bvista.html
but if you buy here you'll save yourself about $2,800
*Pronounced "mixed-tea" unless you are in France where it'd be pronounced "mixt"

Blue Biek

Blue Biek - $117 (my house)

Reply to: sale-sqhss-1853977020@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

I am selling a bike, it is at my house, I spray painted it blue
I do not have a camera so I drew a picture of it,.. it's pretty much the best drawing I've ever done.
it looks exactly like this, except with only one chain and no fenders or front light and it needs a seat
price not negotiable

please call me on my phone at my house where the bike is if you want it

How about 1985 when this bike was really made?

http://bikecatalogs.org/SCHWINN/1985...ollegiate.html

bicycle - $150

Schwinn bicycle like new. Still has original owners manual. Ridden five times. Been in storage. This is a steal. Less then original price in 1962.

Just because it is sold out on the shelves doesn't mean the value goes up. Retail is $159.

Schwinn Ranger Mountain Bike - $200
Sr Sun tour shocks, 27 speed, rides great, in great shape, solid frame, good rims and tires. Good for cross country, trail or city riding. You can text or call me anytime on my cell at xxx-xxx-xxxx to schedule a good day and time to see the bike, Johny.

I stand corrected I am not up to date on my redneck humorist

I seem to recall seeing that Rossin ad somewhere sans lightsabers.

Yeah, there's a recent internet fad called, of all things, lazertits.

http://www.lazertits.com/

I would assume that's where it came from, or at least the idea.

I've never understood the word "bick." Bike seems to be a pretty easy one to get right. Maybe bice or bicke, but bick! Somehow they managed to get "switcher" right; I have to assume that was pure luck.
