This one is utterly silly. American Pickers specials? Seriously? They're dumpster dive material. What's disappointing is that I've seen this seller's ads many, many times and he's normally sane and within reason.

It is quite possible the seller doesn't have a clue that this is NOT how a fork is supposed to look. Never attribute to malice that which can be attributed to stupidity (or ignorance.) Most people are just clueless.

And a new cheapo steel replacement fork is only about $20 these days.

wow this is ********, i didn't know those hubs could go for that kind of money, i picked up a really nice set of older campagnolo record hubs that are super polished laced to mavic or20 Gold rims, that looks brand new, they're tubulars, so i better check those prices. might be more worth it to sell it than use it

i live and work in oakland and want to stop driving so much. i need a bike! i would like to see if i can trade a tattoo session in exchange for a used one instead of buying a new one. i work in a newly relocated beautiful tattoo shop in downtown oakland, and i have years of tattoo experience. i have some photos online at myspace.com/ladyluck666 and lots more to see if you come to the shop.

im a female 5'5" and i want a road bike or mountian bike, in great or like new condition. NO BEACH CRUISERS!!

    thanks for reading, happy riding!

Here is one from Michigan.....the guy has an Arctic Cat/Stella 10sp for a ridiculous price. Rare does not equate valuable unless someone really really likes the bike for some unusual reason.

I used to own a AC/Stella. Not a junk bike by any means but certainly not worth 1700.00

Having a flat tire as part of the total cycling experience is highly overrated. Knowing how to fix one quickly is not.

I believe it's a 1985 or 1986 S-10 S LTD, but I am not entirely sure. It is in ok condition, in spite of it being over 25 years old. I can text pictures. I got her fixed up in the fall. She was appraised at $800.00. Make me a resonable offer and the bike is yours. Please email me questions, concerns, or offers.

    Thank you,

So they picture a bike that is "same vintage" but not the actual bike that is for sale.....and, oh yea.....just a minor detail......

"The only drawback is the outer chain ring got a little scuffed/few tooth warped, easy fix or unbolt/replace 1 ring, price reduced to match."

And the reduced price is $200??!!??? Seriously?

This one is great. A beater Peugeot UO-18 for $450 from a seller named bbcbikes aka Budgetbicyclecenter!

Looks like there is a bubble beginning to affect bicycles.

I like this one. The bike and price are OK but look: There's an original Jim Blackburn rack and a nice looking water bottle cage. If I were close, I'd buy the bike just for those two accessories.
