Also, does that headbadge look homemade?
It's a 1987 Nishiki Olympic that emulates the style the Georgena Terry started. They are bikes designed for women around 5' to 5'4" tall. 24" front wheel and a 700 rear wheel. And that is the OEM headbadge, too.

whoever has been riding that bike is way too tall for it, I hope the ST is not damaged.

I was 14 in 1975. Our Stingrays were just about destroyed from inventing BMX. And one rich prick with a guilty mommy shows up with one of these:

1975 Yamaha Moto Bike - $400 (Midway City)

Date: 2013-01-01, 4:53PM PST
k49cn-3515292900@sale.craigslist.org[SUP][?][/SUP]

you know this is the bike you wanted when you were a kid. all your little friends had their huffy pro thunders and their team murray's, and there was that one little rich prick down the block that got the mongoose with motomags, and you just had to have this bike.

but your mom couldn't afford it. gas was at an all time high, and her ford pinto wasn't running all that well, carter was president, and it was years before reagan would usher in a false hope for people everywhere.

and by the time you saved up all your paper route money, this bike was obsolete, and you went for the JMC Black Shadow, instead.

but you never forgot how much you wanted one of these, and now that you're an adult, and you're making money in the porn industry (in distribution, of course,) you've got some extra cash laying around to buy this bike and put it in the lobby where all your other nostalgic buddies can see it.

The 1975 Yamaha Moto-Bike.

this bike has the original frame, forks, stem, shocks, and the euro bottom bracket with the original cottered cranks. that's the hard to find ****.

wheels are new, seat is old, but not correct, bars are old box style, some fake grab-on grips, and old cheng shin tires for skidding.

call, text or email Baird at 714--614- 3750

http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/bik/3515292900.html

I still want it.

Here's an interesting eBay listing:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/CANNONDALE-Y...item3a7c45b952

If theirs is worth that, I'd better get a special rider for my home owners insurance to cover my mega-value collection!
I sent a message asking if they had misplaced a decimal point, but never received a reply.
I always thought this one to be a bit too much, but not quite as bad as the first one:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1984-Cannond...item43ab5c4ae4

The heading lists it as "66cm," which is inaccurate. It is a 25". Cannondale didn't make a 66cm EVER in this series; they made 27" from '86 to '90, and 66cm in RACE bikes starting with the '89 3.0 series.

Yikes, what's the deal with that stem?? And backward seat post!

36cv7-3517899476@sale.craigslist.org[SUP][?][/SUP]

Bought this bike about 5 years ago- rode it around for a bit and unfortunately has been sitting in a shed for last few years. The frame is in pretty good condition- especially for its age . Definitely needs new tubes and probably tires and wheel alignment and generally some TLA.
I can show it tomorrow (thurs) after 7pm- about a block from Bay Parkway stop of the D train. Thanks.

Was the top of the middle line for Centurion... changing handlebar to Scott AT-2 LF, should look much sleaker with a better fit to bar-end Suntour shifters. Not a conversion total bull****. I have never seen a track bike with road dropoouts, crank and wheels. Plus Damn that suicide brake just looks scary.

The "repair" job on the rear dropouts is embarrassing at best! What a heap. How people fabricate their own reality is quite disturbing.

Yeah, it's simultaneously wonderful and harrowing how we can delude / be deluded.

But hey - he's at least tried to smooth out the crappy welding job with some epoxy or bondo or somethin'. For asethetic purposes.

Looks like it was a road bike (lower end at that) with track dropouts brazed on by an amateur (I know, that's what they look like when I do them). So, still a conversion - road geometry and axle spacing, and no advantages (other than the ability to use chain tensioners, but the dropout will bust off the first time you jump on it). I'm all for messing around with bikes, but this is just messed up

That one has actually been discussed here before, several months back. Not sure if it was in this thread or not, but I recall this very bike/drewjob. Seller had done several similar hack jobs. Note eyelets for fenders on track fork. For the rainy days at the velodrome.

Not rare or even one of a kind. Early Shimano disc brake from the seventies, was on several cheapie department store bikes in the 70s. Capable of stopping a small mouse on a wheel, but only on mondays.
