Somebody did not like the response they got.

Ok I get it is a custom bike and very nice. But you'd think if you were selling a $10,000 bike you'd put in a picture or two. I've seen this ad before, clearly not in a hurry to sell. And I'd think for less money I could have someone else build me the same thing, with my choice of paint, etc.

Yes but cleaning and better photos would reveal the chainrings are shot making the set basically worthless.

I LOVE it! With bikes/prices like that, if you see the disclaimer:

"if you see this post the bikes are still available"

it means:

"you'll see this post forever".

This ad isn't so bad, but the bike is priceless. 30 speeds and "digital shifting".

Rare, Vintage Bruce Jenner Decalthalon 10 Speed Bike
This is a rare Bruce Jenner, limited edition 'Decathlon' 10 speed bike.

Has been stored in our garage for over 30 years. In great shape. Original tires & both hold air, but front tire has a small split beginning... A few scratches from wear and tear, but other than that, it is fine.

Unlike it's namesake, it is all original, no surgeries...

Best offer after a few days rides it home.

^ What a deliciously awful bike! Those dropouts look like they were hacked out on someone's table saw or something.

There's a lot of hilarious stuff on this thread but the Bruce Jenner bike with the UFO crankset and the Ed "Big Daddy" Roth stick shift actually made me LOL. Has anyone ridden one of those things?

If it were even close to my size, and really, really cheap, I might be tempted to buy it for ****s and giggles. I kinda want to ride it. How could you not have a smile on your face when you shifted that thing?

trek/gary fisher racer - $500 (carver)trek/gary fisher racer

trek and gary fisher frames..need rebuilding..full aluminum..lightweight excellent condition..500 per obo

At first I was thinking $250 was far too steep for an incomplete, mid-level, early nineties aluminum Trek, but then I read they wanted $500 each. The second bike isn't even pictured! I also just noticed the suspension fork has a brake arch designed for V-brakes, not cantis. Without a cable hanger there, how can the cable remain taut as the fork compresses?

Guess they thought it was a true hybrid and brought in the only other cycling name they knew. Oddly, it's a decent price.

It can't! I once learned that myself, the hard way. Well, not so hard that I wiped out because of it, but I spent about an hour swapping components around only to find on the first ride that the front brakes were obviously useless and had to swap back to V's
