not sure where you are getting your $5-$600 valuation from? This seems like a fair deal. People keep their pedals because they clip into their shoes. Replacement pedals come with the bike.

How much would you pay for a 9 year-old carbon fiber bike?

Kijiji is a craigslist competitor in Canada.

Bianchi Vintage Bike Great Condition Runs Great! | road | Markham / York Region | Kijiji

I've coveted a celeste Bianchi for a whole, so thought I'd give it a run. I emailled the poster as there was no price.

They said, the consigner would like to get $3000. I wrote back that the consigner must be smoking something.

The first time I saw the ad, it said they had a Bianchi Selle Italia for sale (I corrected them and they corrected the ad).

I stand corrected, I wasn't aware they lost so much value over time. I guess having no recourse over broken components holds a lot of value on something like that.

Carbon seems to hold value for 3-5 years at the most, then drops dramatically. That's not the highest I've seen for one of those either, which is the sad part. Itmakes me wonder how people get 350 bucks or more for the old straight tube carbon aluminum lugged treks and specialized bikes from the early 90's. Somehow they do though.,,,,BD

I have a friend who was gifted a carbon-tube, lugged Trek, which I covet mostly because of it's nice-looking 600 tricolore (blue, green, and blue-green; wouldn't that be more like duocolore?) gruppo. Unforunately he lives across the country. I've thought about offering to pay shipping, because he's not that interested in owning it, and it's not ridable as is, because the shifters are gucked up and need a good old-fashioned WD-40 flush. He probably just wants it out of his house, except for possible offense to the nice friend who gave it to him.

[h=2]Custom Mongoose - $70 (beaverton)[/h]

condition: excellent size / dimensions: 19

Nice Mongoose that has been completely gone through and rides great.Custom double adjustable handlebars, nice tire pump a Luggage rack and new water bottle and holder and bike lock..Teal green in color and looks awesome, pictures don't do it justice. Come take it for a spin and you will see its worth every penny.

SB once made a bike with double handlebars. This one's not nearly as nice, but definitely worth $70!

This bike might be pretty jacked up but at least it only weighs 5 lbs:

[h=2]Gary Fisher (aluminum) - $150 (rockrimmon)[/h]

condition: fair

I'm looking to sell my aluminium original Gary Fisher. This bike is pretty jacked up, the gears to the brakes are pretty jinky. The frame is the only part really worth anything. If you get this clunker up and running its the fastest bike you'll ever ride. The whole thing weighs about 5 pounds. I'm wanting only $200 or best offer. I also except trades, 420 friendly. Please call me

ask for Jake. Thank you

Definitely a bicycle. Beyond that, who can say?

63 cm Road Bike TALL BIKE

Quote:
This is an old 12 speed road bike from the 80's or 90's.
It has an aluminum frame... (VERY light)

great racing wheels/tires

good smooth shifters

I've been riding this around for quite a while as my commuter but i'm looking for something a little more my size.
The bike would best suit someone pretty tall (6'0 or more)

It has an older white paint job (not original)
Not sure of the brand, but it has quality components so i would guess schwinn or nishiki etc.

Nope, that first two was a typo, it's right above the zero on a keyboard with a number pad, he surely meant $0.25

$3000, that's funny, he must be including some NOS c-record parts and another couple complete bikes

10$ scrap value at most even at the free bike this one would be junked scraped as is not even worth stripping for anything.
