I bought mine (same year, same model) for $100. But the paint was worse and the seller didn't know you could fix the 6400 brifters with a half can of WD40. The frame set (too small for me) is long gone to eBay, but the wheels and gruppo live on on a few of my other bikes.

I really don't understand some ebay sellers. I searched Huffy looking for a Serotta built Huffy. There are tons of Huffys that are severely overpriced. Why?

You know what I love about this ad? They have 4 at that price. They hope to make over $4000 from bikes worth $400 at Walmart.

Links at the bottom of the page show the bike from $136.27 to $159.95

I think some sellers will park ads by messing with the price. So, looking at the 4 that were sold, 3 of them were sold for $151.90, almost exactly $1000 less than the asking price for the remaining bikes.

So, when the seller is ready to sell bikes again, simply remove that "1" from the beginning of the price.

No doubt, if they manage to sell one for 10x the value, there is a backup plan to acquire the stock.

"SPAGO" appears to be faded on the top tube of that Bottecchia.

The specs are just a little wonky. 26" wheels? Aluminum frame? Tri Bars? U-Brakes?

Some sellers just don't have a clue. I bought a frame off of Craigslist. When I was looking at it the seller said it was an aluminum frame, I think because it was lightweight, and he expected steel frames to be heavy.

Even with its reserve, funny to watch the bidding. Whoever the seller is, doubtful he's a cyclist nor has owned this one for long.

Local Pickup is always tough for an E-Bay auction. It limits sales that could be at least across the USA, and possibly including Europe or Asia to a single city. Then you have to find the right buyers.

"Reserve" auctions are also tough. Why not just put in a minimum starting bid and watch the auction go from there. I consider it almost like shill bidding. While some might have a reasonable reserve (say $100 for that bike), many have quite unreasonable expectations. So, while I may take time out of my day to hit the end of an auction, I won't bother to take the time to bid against the seller.

Anyway, to get top dollar:
Good Description.
Good Photos
Clean
Ship to the buyers at a reasonable rate.

I'm not sure I could afford a 2016 Olympic bike. What about a 1984 Olympic bike?

Lots of Bike Parts

Of course, there would be no Russian 1984 Olympic bikes.

LOL-
As calculated. Those silly shills. Reserve not met, two zero feedback bidders and the later made sure it stayed that way.
