This is a steel framed bike that I believe to be a late 60s early to 70s Peugeot PX-10 but for some reason has features of the PA-10 as well. Its a 10 speed with relocated shifters onto the gooseneck and Simplex Derailleur. Everything on this bike I think is all original and made in France except the seat, tires, inner tubes, brake pads, and rear axle nuts and spacers. Just recently took out the bearings, cleaned, and gave em some fresh grease. Paint has scratches and in some spots I think the clear coat is fading or coming off but does not effect the riding. The measurement on this bike is 20 inches or about 51 centimeters from the top of the seatpost to the middle of the crank. The wheels may need to be realigned from sitting in my garage. Love this bike just don't use it anymore.

I want $300 (no lower so don't even try) or trade for PS3, laptop, or possibly a running vehicle. To buy with cash or set up time to look at it call or text 503-562-****. Email me about trades with the address above.

NO SCAMS
NO SHIPPING
NO FLAKES (MUST HAVE CASH IN HAND)

I guess this is not really wacky anymore, advertising a U08 as a PX-10 but I still find it sort of funny. I emailed him saying "there's no way you'll get $50 out of that, let alone $300. A minty-fresh U08 won't sell for $50 in Corvallis or Eugene. Also it is not a PX-10".

Hi I am looking to purchas a old high end road bike. Condition does not generally matter. From the mid 1960s the late 80s. I need a smaller frame less than 23 inches. I would like a bike with presta valves and down-tube shifters. I can't pay a heck of a lot preferably around $50 but I can pay more a little more depending on the circumstances. Brands I would be interested in: Trek, Schwinn, Miyata, Panasonic, Bianchi, Centurion, Peugeot, Cinelli, Colnago, Fuji, Adler, Zeus, Roberts, Motobecane, Austro-Daimler and many more.

If you have a bike like this please email or call 401-XXX-XXXX
Thanks
Ben

Maybe I should dig up something from my not-yet-restored heap and tell him to come get it. It would be a shlep from Rhode Island, but that's his problem, not mine, right?

Tom...if you have a "heap" of not yet restored centurions, Miyatas and Colnagos for $50, I'll be right over with a fleet of Uhauls :-)

And Maplewood isn't even that far!

I was hoping to get more than $50 for most, but given that I've put NOTHING into a few of them, I can't complain about $50. Come on over. My email address is noglider@pobox.com, and we can talk. We could have a fun day wrenching, too.

I now have 35 bikes in my garage and basement. Too many! Most of them need restoration.

Believe it or not, I just picked up yet another. Where's that thread on obsessive compulsiveness?

Shogun 1500 - the poster says it is super super rare and so great he doesn't even have to post a picture and only $3000.
http://cleveland.craigslist.org/bik/1529480707.html

Even though I know better, I emailed the seller -- So far he has compared his rare bike to the Mona Lisa in his reply. Must stop myself from emailing back......

Ok, I really like this one. My comments in bold...

Mint condition peugeot every decal still intact every detail exact - $300 (oakland lake merritt / grand)
The biggest selling point to this bike is that the decals are intact?!?
What are the details that are exact? Like, does he mean *it has tires and a seat*?

Ultimate commuter bike. Tire clearance to the max.
18 speed - Rear suspension - all terrain - custom chopper - $100 (Chicago / I can deliver!!)

Date: 2009-12-30, 9:54PM CST
Reply to: sale-ecbnu-1531383955@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

The bike for sale is a modified Pacific fission chopper with an 18 speed shimano.
It cruises past buses and is a blast to ride! Probably my favorite daily commuter.
The welding is rock solid on the fork + It just got a tune up so it's ready to ride!
there's a tiny hole on the right rear seat and a tiny bit of rust on the chain.
Other than that the Tire tread + chain + gears + shifters + frame + rims ect,.. are in really great shape.
Please include a general location or a phone number with your response.
(So i know your not spam) First $100 OBO gets it.

I can deliver!

Thanks

OK now this add is not too bad and the bike is really pretty nice. However it is about an '88 or '89 and only sold for about $380 or so. the real funny part is I first saw this add in atleast June!! originally it was $425. I mentioned in an email I thought it was way over priced but he said it had an overhaul and new tires. good luck!

It is a male racing bike, the brand is Specialized Allez. It is all made out of carbon and it has some parts that are aluminum. The components are Shimano 600. For more information please call ********** ask for Jesus. "

$1000 for an early 90s carbon specialized allez. A bit over priced, but if someone can make this sale, it is Jesus!

Sound's to me like one of the 2% new suburban kid imports.
Besides, none of the really tough gang members ride bikes when they do their drive bys.
