OK, you got me there -- a red Schwinn. What more do I need to know? Oh, the chain slips, but if I pull back on the wheel -- perhaps while I'm riding? -- I'm "good and ready to ride". Apparently, my idea of "ready to ride" is not the same as his version. I'd call the guy and snap up this bike, but he neglected to provide a phone number.

...although, the laugh would be on us if it was a near-mint Paramount...

ONce in awhile you see an ad for a mess of bikes, and I always wonder what it would be like to show up with a front-end loader and a dump truck, and scoop them all up for myself. It bothers me to see bikes piled up like so much refuse, though.

Between 100 & 150 Bikes (waterford)

Really ...

The City of Santa Rosa in California has installed a 65ft obelisk sculpted from recycled bicycles. The artwork, appropriately named ‘Cyclisk’, is the talk of the town because it was funded by car company Nissan and has gone up in the heart of the automotive district. Ironic as this may sound, it is still pretty great to have old bikes used as art pieces. We never get tired of seeing this sort of thing pop up from time to time.

Note: - No usable bicycles were used for the sculpture…. We collected only unusable bike parts from the debris piles of community DIY bike-building places: Trips for Kids/Recyclery, Bici Centro and Community Bikes.

Is it just me or does this look like a serious case of hipster front end crash damage?

https://cgi.ebay.com/Chesini-Vintage-...item4aabd05901

Enlarge the full frame pic and you'll see it at the headtube/top tube join.

Possibly. Could also have been fitted poorly. I doubt it though.
