And then he sent pictures of the exact same style/color bike, converted to a fixed gear with Mavic CXP22 rims, and was very proud of himself. He may have robbed the pic, but he still converted the same kind of bike to a fixie.,,,,BD

Agreed, BD. The chump ruined a good vintage bike for purposes of fashion and irony.

I like this one the guy promotes that his bike is not a real Stingray as a selling point and asks $750. I quess the really delusional sellers come out late at night in Denver.

Here is what's on sale:
https://washingtondc.craigslist.org/n...982183129.html
Made in USA Huffy Aerowind Vintage Road bike - $150 (Ashburn Reston)
Made in Ohio USA.
This bike has a lot of history. I'm pretty sure these brake 'calipers' (design) later became what is called the Dura Ace AX brake caliper. Check out the pics in the link for the AX calipers and I need to double check but I think the Huffy calipers say Shimano AX on them.
https://forum.slowtwitch.com/forum/Sl...kes_P2406895-6
Huffy (later used by Bridgestone too) used weighted (and aero design) pedals.
One of the only aero-shaped frames ever made...ovalized downtube and seat tube - later copied by the carbon fiber folks.
Steel Araya (alloy looking anodized) rims.
I bought this 2 years ago and have been restoring it little by little. It now has 2 NOS 27x1 1/4 tires and tubes. The rims are hard anondized steel with no rust.
Not the lightest bike out there, but that means you don't have to ride as far to get the same great workout
Please reply to
Here is what I sold for $160, upgraded 27" wheels, new tires, new saddle, tape, upgraded stem, drop bars, brake levers.

This is a recent flame on Toronto CL, but for good cause.
https://toronto.en.craigslist.ca/tor/bik/4040443617.html
This dude has been repainting bicycles, relabeling and putting shiny reflective stickers on them to change them up. He's made them under the name Jaguar/Titan and the newest one Royale. Unfortunately a POS is still a POS no matter what you label it.
Here's another flame as well lol:
