Ah, good point. Stolen at some point for sure, but the ad appear to be posted by an auction company that should be smart enough to run numbers and play by the rules. The Bell saddle and bar tape on that nice of a bike are good for a laugh at least.

As a proud, taxpaying citizen of Poway, I am highly offended!
I wonder what kind of bike it is, it may be worth $30, and it's only a couple miles from me

Looking up "Javon" in NY Craigslist, one also finds:
7 Drawer Lingerie Chest From Gothic ($400)
Terrific 7 Drawer Chest by Gothic - Give Me Your Best Offer!!! ($100)
Alpine Lingerie Chest With 7 Drawers By Gothic ($100)
7 Drawer Lingerie Chest From Gothic ($100)
Plus quite a number of Handyman and Furniture Assembly Ads.
And, this one.
Straight Thief! Javon from Brooklyn - Fake Expert Assembly
All in all, think it was over 250 ads. Perhaps it is time to flag for SPAM

File under the all-too-common Hipster inflation category:
Vintage Ross Compact Blue Custom Single Speed Velocity Weinmann Fixie | eBay
[h=1]Vintage: ROSS COMPACT -Blue Custom Single Speed (Velocity, Weinmann, Fixie)[/h]
Item condition:--not specified; “Just rebuilt in nearly new condition”
Price: US $700.00 Buy It Now
Item location: Lowell, Massachusetts, United States
FREE Economy Shipping
This is a freshly built late 70's Ross Compact. The frame is steel, and they are a somewhat rare find. I chose them for the curvy retro style. Frame has been repainted anodized blue over copper hammered finish, which produces a dark candy blue. Wheels are Velocity Deep-V's with high flange sealed bearing hubs, and Duro striped tires. The fork is vintage lugged chrome with a new chrome headset, polished Dia Compe brake caliper, alloy riser bars, and a vintage Forte stem. Saddle is a rare Soma purple glitter saddle, and the pedals are Shadow Conspiracy composite. The crank is NOS Nervar right/Solida left cottered with a new BB (spindles, cups, bearings, pins), and a Truvativ American to Euro BB converter. Crank arms are very similar, just different names. Gearing is 40/16.
Used refurbished parts: Frame, fork, seat post clamp, caliper, stem
Sold as is, no returns.
Mommy bought me a new Leader 725 for Christmas - and I need money for cocaine.

A recent thread over on the Classic Rendezvous list bemoans the common eBay tactic of using a vague description like "see photos for details," then provides crappy photos. This guy has gotten around that problem completely: Campagnolo and More. Here's the entire listing:
No pictures whatsoever.

The risk, of course, is if people don't actually OWN the bike they're trying to sell, then they are less likely to post photos of it.
Even with Campy parts...
That covers a century worth of parts.
Some real gems.
Some real dogs.
Some parts that one person would flip over while the next ignores it.
Of course, selling stuff "garage sale" style, it is hard to list everything.

this is a really cool bianchi. depending on how you look at it, it appears like a different size altogether and the shifters actually appear like they're either on the downtube or bar end. it's like one of those psychadelic paint schemes. wow!

The bike I am selling has the bar end shifters (the other photos are just to show detail of the decal).
Also, note the professional presentation of the QR.
There are a couple of different theories of how it is best to mount them, but I don't know anybody who recommends mounting the lever on the off-side pointed straight forward.

You can tell when somebody has a beef with a seller.
For several months this ad has been showing up.
Beater Bikes
About 10 posts later, this post shows up.
Don't waste your money on a beater bike
I suppose that would be expected with a name like Beater Bike.
