Unless I'm reading this wrong he's hoping for more than $10,000 and can't be bothered to post a picture or provide a better description.

$100.00 ????

I always wonder about people who don't post a photo when selling an item. Years? Colors?

Of course, it is harder to identify stolen merchandise without photos.

Photos I see of 3rensho track bikes look like some nice bikes. But, when discussing a full respray, one must question the overall condition of the bike. Especially for one living on a small island near the ocean.

What is a semi-shift?

And the "Fare offer"? Is that for the ferry?

It sounds like the owner isn't a bike person. "Any pics can be taken if specified. But no tech questions."
Get some photos, then make an offer. Make sure the seller knows a restoration and respray is no small endeavour.

Is "Cannonball" an auto-correct mistake? Also how do they get the model number wrong when they post a detailed shot of it?

Then everything we know about Breeze, Fisher, and all those guys being the first mountain bikers was a lie? I can believe it is an '84 model. I wonder where he got 1964 from?

That was my question. The year was written as 1964 in two seperate spots so it was no typo. People take offense when you try to alert them to such mistakes so I don't bother anymore.

That looks almost identical to the one I got brand new in 1989 for my 10th birthday, but the one in the add appears to have a much worse seat and different grips (the original foam ones probably didn't last very long).

It's a Specialized road bike--therefore it must be worth at least $600, right? Wrong.

[h=2]Sounds completely legit. Just bring your cutters. LOL

Cannondale Bicycle - available tonight - $135 (Millenium Park)
[/h]

Hello,

I still have my Cannonade bike (blue, in good condition but not sure of exact model) in the bike room at the apartment that I moved from in Millennium Park. If you have pair of cutters, I have been unable to find the key (lock is a simple wire string lock). The building knows me and you will be assured that everything is legit before we cut the lock (we will be there with one of the staff).

Would like to get this done tonight, it's a beautiful bike and a great brand! Unfortunately don't have pictures readily available. ** Picture above is similar to actual bike, but not exact model ** I think mine is from the early 2000s.

Thank you for looking and I will answer any questions that I can!

Now that is just WACKY!!!

BUT IT COULD BE AN EXCELLENT DEAL. DEFINITELY WORTH CHECKING OUT.

I think I'd get something signed by both the seller and building manager. And, perhaps throw the S/N into some of the internet bike registries.

I'm not up on my Cannondales, but that photo looks mid 90's... so if the bike for sale is an early 2000's model, it could be quite a nice bike.

Trying to think. I'm not too good with cutting cables, but I don't practice much either. I could probably find something to let me eventually whittle through it

Or, the angle grinder.

Oh, and for good measure, also check with the police and bike registries a week later too

Some sellers seem to be better at pricing their bikes than describing them.

Triathletes don't balk at huge price tags, right?

[h=2]TRIATHLETE'S DREAM BIKE -- THE VITUS - $2200 (Chippewa Falls, WI)[/h]TRIATHLETE'S DREAM BIKE -- THE VITUS

TRIATHLETE'S DREAM BIKE -- THE VITUS
The essence of the Vitus -- its featherweight stance -- made possible by its bonded all aluminum frame. Unlike most bikes, with stiffly held welded joints, the Vitus is glued. The Vitus' ride is comfortably soft, even when speeding down a sheer paved road.

Vitus still manufactures bicycles today, though they are only available in Europe; the company does not export them to North America. The Vitus is simply a blend of form and function.

This black Vitus bike was built with light weight, aero-dynamics, and speed in mind. The top-grade components are original. The wheels are Araya Aero 4 Super Hard Anodized rims with aero-dynamic spokes, both with Continental Competion GP (120 PSI) tires. Other components include Dura-Ace derailleurs, Nitto headset with a Profile-For-Speed handlebar, Modolo brakes, Shimano clip-on pedals, Super Compe stem, dual Performance bottle cages, and Concor racing saddle. The drive train features SIS index shifting, a double chain wheel (52-42), a 6-speed cassette (13-24) and a 170 mm crank.

Shimano clip-on shoes (size 44) and Rhode Gear racing kit (equipped with Continental Competion GP (120 PSI) tire, Qwikfil, and glue), are also included.

All in excellent condition. Original cost $5133. Will sell for $2200 (FIRM). Cash or cashier's check only. Call between 8:00 a.m. -- 9:00 p.m.
