All of these bikes are fully restored and ready to ride or to be displayed. I've had them all for at least a couple years. I'm selling because I don't feel comfortable anymore with so many bikes. These bikes will come with a satisfaction guarantee; if anything goes wrong I'll make things right (normal wear and tear).*
1983 Stumpjumper is $700
1984 Cannondale is $500
1985 APEX is $450
1986 High Sierra $250(w/out rack)

Ilove guys like this.

Atlantic Coast Atb Tandem Bike

18 Speed index shifting
barely used at all
excellent condition
only needs a new chain

Offer him $100 for it (with the bad chain), and see if he'll bite.

I'm not sure if it is the same as the Pacific Cycles Tandems, but it certainly isn't worth 5x as much.

I wonder if it is a "bike flipper" that saw some very high priced tandems, then found this one at a garage sale and decided to try making a quick buck.

It is at least nice to see left sided cranks. When I put my tandem together, I cheated and put all the chains on the right.

Woah, that seattube sticker says "Imported by Worksman". I didn't know Worksman imported bikes. I think the bottom line says "Made in Indonesia" - interesting country of origin!

I'd guess late 1980s vintage, but still overpriced a bit.

Dude probably saw some Co-Motions, Santanas and Burleys for sale and priced it about like a really nice Burley.

This showed up at the local thrift store.
And, actually at a pretty thrifty price.

Tandem Trike.

Independent 5 speed derailleurs (I think).
I'm not sure who all controls the brakes.
The seats seemed to swivel.
Left rear wheel missing.

It may well have been fairly expensive 20 years ago, as MTBs were beginning to boom. But today, it is hard to give away so many $1000 MTBs from the 80's and 90's.

The combination of V brakes on a steel frame, quill stem, grip shifters, and 6 speed freewheel tell you it's junk. Would you believe it's from 2005? https://www.bikeforums.net/tandem-cyc...st-tandem.html This website might be out of date, I can't tell, but shows it for $520 Tandems - Rideable Bicycle Replicas

So $1800 seems a bit of a stretch.

Meanwhile, this time capsule can be yours for only $300:

I think you'll agree that because this bike has new tires, tubes, and a seat its $150 price tag is more than fair..

Oh my. Didn't notice the Vees. Even $520 seems high for an Indonesian Tandem. Chinese Kent tandems go for about $300 new.

I got a similar vintage used Kent tandem for $30. At least it had a 7-speed freewheel.

I put a 9-speed XTR/Rolf wheel in there, and 9-speed XTR triggers and brake levers. New rear chain and it's almost an OK bike.

Sure, but Mountaing Bikes are at least as rare as Confentes. I think they were made one year only at the North Pole by Santa's elves. I'm surprised he doesn't have a couple more zeros in the price.

Yeah he might want to raise the price a bit more, lol. What a goof.

I've always wondered how one could have a 30 yr old kid's bike in pristine condition. Does it have new tire nubs.
Perhaps it lived its life at Grandma's house????

I wouldn't be surprised if it does eventually sell... maybe $150??? Whatever the asking price is for a generic Walmart bike.

I like that tandem trike... if only I had the right stoker.

Put on super-low gearing. And, a heavy trailer, and it could climb walls

Two phrases often used to describe an overpriced ho hum bike or a rusted out piece of sxxx are: rare find and collector's dream. A women's (or man's) Varsity is not a rare find and I know of no collectors who dream of owning one!

This person probably thinks reality shows are real!

Another reason to flag. Some moron has been posting a cheap BMX bike daily (or more often) on Chicago CL recently. One of the keywords is "Colnago". I flag it every time it pops up.

I like sting rays as much as the next collector...

...but not enough to pay $US 32,000 for 4 of them:

Schwinn Bicycle Company | lot | Sotheby's

...not matter how pristine.
