Its torqued down to spec with NO modifications or tapping of the frame. The left cup is sticking out because the inside lip is hitting the serial number plate rivit. Thats an easy fix.

BB* is Shimano 68 X 110 cartridge with a 1982-ish SR crankset.

No, its still right handed threading. What you see is a combination of 2 different BBs.

Most Shimano cartridge BB's thread in from the right (left hand thread) with the collar or removable cup threading in the from the right. I had a Shimano cartridge BB that threaded in from left meaning the main body has right handed threads. I used that main body with its right handed threads and installed into the right side, I tossed its right handed collar and used a left handed collar from a second BB.

I'm going to update this thread tomorrow with pictures of both BB's and the slight modification I made to the main body.
