Weinman lever hoods

I have just acquired what I think is a 1982 (or maybe a 1984 - it's hard to tell) Peugeot PSV 10 and the only bits missing are white lever hoods for the Weinman 405 brakes. Can't get 'em in Oz it seems, Anyone have any ideas?

I see them on ebay now and then. Eg item # 390049286539. Good luck and let me know if you find another source, I've been looking for some too!

Post a pic! I like to drool over pretty Peugeots. You can use Jim's site to match up what year your bike is www.cyclespeugeot.com

As for white hoods... I just recently got a pair off of Ebay. I believe the user was "icyclesusa.com". Send an email and hope for the best. I haven't seen many non-aero white hoods on ebay lately.

I've sunk to using black, or gum dia-compe non areo hoods... they almost fit.

I've done the same. Can't go crazy over hoods especially for the insane prices sometimes

1984 was when Peugeot started using the "rainbow decal".

I was a little peeved when I ordered from an online store that pictured Dia-compe and I received Cane creek in the mail... I don't think it'd be hard to update the picture or at least put in a little side note.

weinman brake lever hoods

Things are becoming clearer now. Thanks to Tigerprawn and the peugeot site it now looks like a 1984 PSV. It is metalic charcoal with rainbow decals. What fooled me was the 1982 stamped on the seat post. Thanks for the suggestions re hoods. I'll check out the dia-compe non aero's. Pictures will follow when the new tubulars arrive - can't really expose the old girl naked!

The ones i picked up on eBay last summer are made by "Buckeye Bicycle Accessories" I think they are NOS though.

Incorrect.

The last three sets I bought, (last fall at the latest) Were still marked Dia-compe.

You must have found a place with old stock. Orders to the supplier yield Cane Creek (been that way for at least 2 years).

I can confirm that per my previous post... But I was able to score white dia-compe a week or so ago. Although that was Ebay.
