Showing off my De Rosa

Greetings,
I have been lurking for a while but since I just cleaned up my De Rosa I thought that I would post a few photos to show it off.
Anyway, I bought the frame new in 2001 and built it up with Chorus and racing triple gear. I rode it all over Seattle but am just breaking it out again after moving to Vancouver last year. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks

Classic! I was wondering why it looked so vintage, even though you bought it new in '01! A replica, interesting! And in great shape too.

Even though it's a magnificent bike, you might want to invest some time in your bartape...

Besides that, gorgeous!

Well, I used to run red cloth tape with shelac but I wanted to try cork again. So far so good but I'll probably pick up more cloth tape form Rivendell next time I order.

Thanks

I believe that the replica series bikes were built by De Rosa in the mid to late 90's but I bought this frame unbuilt in 2001 from a shop in Arizona. The bike rides like a dream and absolutly disapears while you are riding.

Thanks

I wish more companies would do replicas of past classics. Ciocc's Italian website has some classic frame replicas but they didn't really start making bikes until the '80s.

Nice De Rosa.

I think some black Prorace tape would look great on that bike, but I'm a bit biased.

I was thinking black Cinelli Cork tape! Either way, great bike!

Nice De Rosa.
Actually earlier (re: Ciocc), with a few coming into the US by the late 70's.

Tommasini is doing some of the nicest steel among the classic names, ATMO. Not necessarily replicas, but very, very nice.

Picchio- After owning a Sintesi and a Tecno, I couldn't agree more. I rode across Iowa twice on Tommasinis, and they are the complete bike. I didn't have an totally accurate fit on either of mine, hence their sale. I have been drooling on the Tommasini website over the X-Fire 42-U and it is only a matter of time before I move out a few dust collectors. What a bike! And......what a delightful DeRosa in this thread! I can never get enough of these bikes.

Has anyone seen any of the Italian companies making frames with the re-issued Columbus SL 2009 tubeset? The Ciocc replicas on their site look pretty nice but there is very little information on the site; I wonder if they are made in Taiwan?

Sorry for the derail..

Jet Sanchez - No clue about the origin of their vintage line, but I did download the catalogue. All of their models such as the Replica, San Cristobal and the Mockba have very nice lines! I'll read it later and email them tonight about this info.

Also sorry about derail......
