Need help making a choice!

A few of you know I have this Peugeot "Competition" that I quickly fell in love with  although its way to tall for me. :( This is the choice I must make, I want to find a 53cm Peugeot frame that I can switch the parts over to, this is something I really want to do, no questiuon, problem is I have no money that I can spend on this project, so I'm thinking on selling one of my bikes, and the only one I have that I would be willing to sell is my Madison :( Its such a sweet bike that I'm having a hard time making the move :( but in all reality its not the best riding bike in the world, so that said what would you do? all I really need is someone to tell me "Do it!"

Do it. Easiest decision I ever made.

why are you keeping the pug frame if its too big and you dont want to ride it?

Don't do it...The Madison is sweet and is a future classic IMO...Pull the parts off your Pug, sell the frame and fork and buy the frame you desire...You might have to save some pennies for a bit too.

Yeah, I've envied a few of those new Madisons in my 'hood. I'd keep it, sell the Pug frame and then just be patient if you need to on the funds for the 53cm frame. Waiting is hard but it'll be that much better when you get it!

The nays have it, no sale on the Maddy :) I found a lugged Peugeot frame similiar to mine with forged drops and bosses, $100.00 in good shape but the paint is a bit rough, what do you guys think? good price?

I'm not keeping the frame, it's got a crimp in the seat tube, looks like it was clamped to tight in a bike stand or something, so I'll sell it for cheap after I make the switch, I will tell who ever buys it about the crimp. :)

$100? Where's the rest of the bike?

How many bikes do you have and which rides the worst?

ilikebikes 05-24-09 07:51 PM

8, I'd have to say the Madison rides worst but I only say that due to the "toe slap" or whatever its called, but in all fairness most if not all "track" type bikes do this, besides that its really sweet! I went to take a good look at the frame being offered for $100.00, besides the obvious surface rust one of the bosses looks as if someone went at it with a pair of grip pliers! so needless to say I'm not buying it, I'm kinda waiting for a bikeforums member to PM me with an offer but it hasn't happened yet. :(
