Centurion LeMans...can it fit cross tires?

Living on a farm this summer, and I'd like to be able to get around on a bike (quite a few acres to traverse.)

Anyone know what the max size of 700c cyclocross tires I'd be able to fit on a '78 Centurion LeMans?

bump...I can't find my measuring tape, but I figured I'd ask. I saw in the archives someone had a similar model with 700x30 tires on it...I wonder if i could fit that.

I should think you'd have no trouble up to 35 or 38 mm. My '85 has tons of room. I think the bigger concern may be whether the brakes will accommodate the 700s, but I think it's doable. I've toyed with the idea myself, but I need a new cassette for my set of 700s.
