Resticking Trek Decals
What is the best way to remove and reattach loose decals an a 1980 Trek without damaging them? Do I use water or some other solvent to remove them? What adhesive to replace them?
I picked up a 1980 Trek 410 in a garage sale and would like some advice on rearranging the decals. As the picture below shows, the decals seem to have become partially unstuck at some point in the past. They look to be intact, so I'm hoping to restore them.

No, no, no -- I think that full-on restoration by an art conservator is in order. Should only cost a few hundred bucks, and (as they say on Antiques Roadshow) then your Trek will be worth about fifty bucks more.

Hey there JR, I steered a CR lister or two your way. Hope they arrived safely. Someday when it quits raining here and I take some good pics I'll shoot the Guerc and Trek ones your way.

Word on the street (bike forums) is that jrrestore has a vector of the 1983 Trek Seat Tube logo, such as the one in the link below:
1983 Trek Seat Tube Wrap SKU 30 Clear Background | eBay
Anyway, I would like to paint this on the frame, rather than clear over it, due to colours and what not. If so would you be able to send it my way? If so would there be any price?
Thanks.
