South Puget Sound C&V Ride

An open invitation for a meet and greet and a nice ride on the Foothills Trail from Puyallup to South Prairie this Sunday (short notice...Sorry!). We will be starting at the Meeker Trailhead near Pioneer and Shaw Road at 12:30...Hope to see some people there! There are 3 people confirmed already.

We want to go if the timing is right. Got a guy stopping to look at the Bianchi. Would love to ride but I'll take the chance for the cash. If we can get out in time we will meet ya at the trailhead. You will be starting at the Pioneer trailhead correct? if we don't see ya I'll give Kelly a call on his cell and maybe we can catch up. Lunch at the Around the Corner Cafe in Orting sounds like fun or at least Pie. Hope to be there.

Bummer, I've got my boys baseball team in the semi-finals of the playoffs today at that time or I'd be there.

Really did want to go but didn't make it. The upside is I got the corn and the rest of the garden hoed and sold the Bianchi I sold it to a really nice man buying it for his daughter I think she was 13. She loved the bike and it fit her pretty well she will in all likelyhood be getting taller. So a nice bike goes to a nice father and daughter and I get some coin to put toward a LHT.

So you have no excuse for the next time, correct?

So, it was caterham, kpug505, abarth (with Mrs and Master abarth!), and East Hill.

I forgot that the start time was 12.30 and had arrived at noon. Not spotting anyone I knew, but being far too nice a day not to ride, I headed down the trail just as caterham got to the trailhead. However, I got to South Prairie, and waited at a nice little park (set up by an expresso stand). The rest of the C & Vers showed up about 15 minutes later. We had a nice chat at the park, but Mrs. abarth was getting cold, so abarth and family headed back. The three of us stayed about another 10 minutes, then also headed back.

A great day!

It certainly was a very nice day! It was nice to finally be able to put some faces to names! I was the slow poke of the day...Caterham was riding faster than I with no hands without the slightest hint of stress! He's a monster I tell ya! East Hill although short is quite the lil spark plug as well...Abarth dropped me while pulling his son in a trailer! I'm blaming my Peugeot with the balloon tires that Abarth kindly refers to as my beach cruiser...Next ride I'm bringing out the big guns. The Coppi or Cannondale running 120psi in the tubies...
Caterhams Vitus is a real beauty and so is East Hill's Paramount...Good times!

SB...Congrats on the sale and we'll catch ya next time!

It was a great time riding with all you folks. Such a pleasure to meet all of you. The Vitus is very beautiful, and Caterhams...watching him ride reminded me of the incredible Hulk. Afterward Mrs Abarth said she will be happy to have just 1/10 as much muscle as he. East Hill, it was nice meeting you. Sorry didn't get a chance to ride with you but thanks for the valuable lesson about how Paramounts with stem shifters and suicide brake levers are not worth $200. Thanks kpug505 for organizing such a nice ride. We should do it again, may be next time stringbreaker can bring some corns from his garden and we can have a BBQ afterward.

Edit: Almost forgot, "Pictures! or it never happened"

EH: Did you see the line I wrote about the Lon Haul trucker? Brian has on in my size all built up in the shop but the big thing stopping me is that puke green color. Next year they change to something a bit less pukie. I wonder if I could get a blue one from last year and have it built up. MMMMMMM
