I've given this some more thought and I've come to the conclusion we might have a communication issue.

So, I have an idea: Can you post a picture?

A picture of anything you might think is appropriate will do. Then we can take it from there.

What do you say?

there is no such thing as a Suntour bicycle. If it has Suntour dropouts, it's probably a nice frame, but might not be worth fixing depending on the damage. Tell us more. I'm having so much trouble giving a straight answer to this question.

Duct tape will fix your frame. Just be sure and wrap it counter clock wise otherwise it may come apart at the seam. Back in the late 70s Suntour bikes had a reputation for frames breaking, especially those run over by automobiles or those that were dropped from very high office buildings.

Early on people would use Scotch masking tape to fix the frame or even electrical tape. Eventually they realized duct tape had superior holding strength. Just double wrap it and you're good to go!

After a certain number of repairs using this method, I've discovered that I was, in actuality, riding a frame comprised entirely of duct tape. Not only was it stronger than originally, it was also lighter and stiffer (but still vertically compliant.)

usually if you tap it lightly three times, walk in a circle around it once, and take it to a bike shop, you will be able to get it fixed, or not.
