battaglia carrera funny bike tt
hi everyone! there is a guy that called me with a battaglia tt bike. this looks exactly like the one roche used-same colors and weird aero time trial design. it has the shift cables in the frame as well. my question is-was this made for the mass market or would it be for team use? anyone know the quality of these bikes? any help-as usual-appreciated. it also has atlanta 96 wheel on it which are a mystery to me as well. they are deep dish and i think made by campagnolo. are these good quality? never heard of them before i saw this bike and they arent mentioned in my campagnolo book either.

Atlanta was a rim, a very deep one. They go for silly money on ebay now... a few years ago, you could pick them up cheaply.

It is a Battaglin and those would be Campagnolo Atlanta rims, deep aero rims made for the 1996 Olympic Games held in Atlanta. I have a Battaglin road bike that is a copy of the bike that Roche won his TdF on, it never fails to garner lots of compliments when I am out on it----and it rides very well too!
Here is a shot of Roche on his Battaglin
