1979 Peugeot UO-9 "Super Sport"
... at least I think it is. I spent a good deal of time today figuring out what it was. I bought this bike for $60 bucks, and like most first time Peugeot owners, thought it was called a "Record du Monde." Anyhow, after looking through various catalog pics online, I was torn between a '79 UO-9 or a PR-10. I determined it wasn't a UO-8 because mine is cotterless and has a different crank.
Anyhow, after tuning it up and fiddling with it for a few hours, I got it riding nicely. I live in Seattle, just transplanted here from Tampa... There's a weeeeeee bit of terrain difference here.
Anyhow, I think I got a good deal on this bike. For $60 bucks, I could have done a LOT worse.
This is my first post to the forum, by the way.

Put some alluminum rims on there and you'll have a really nice ride. Is that saddle adjusted for you? If so the frame looks too big.

Yes, unfortunately it's a bit large. I actually am quite comfortable at this height, despite the frame being too big.

His ad said $85. When I got there he said, "just give me $70," but I only had four $20 bills. He just said screw it and took $60 rather than making me go get change.
