Parallelco, or Parelco? Italian bike?
I have to start taking my camera along on rides: On the MUP today (cooling down from hill repeats) I saw an older* gent on an old steel bike, kinda shopworn looking but I could see it was interesting. Struck up a conversation & I think he said he'd had it since the 70s. Didn't get a good look at the headbadge but he said he thought it was a "Parallelco". Does that name or something like it sound familiar?
Alas, I was riding my Giant OCR2, not my Super Le Tour - needed the gearing for the hills. I suck at climbing.
I didn't want to impose on him to stop to examine the bike closely. Fork had chrome crown, bike was a faded metallic blue/gray. Bronze looking headbadge. Columbus tubing (he mentioned that) No lettering on frame that I could see. That's all I got, folks.
BTW, a few weeks ago on the same MUP saw a KoF bike: a Columbine. Fancy chromed lugs, metallic purple paint - almost too pretty. A 60-something-ish guy was riding it.
EDIT: Just dawned on me: maybe he meant "Pinarello". Duh! Searched but cannot find pics of old Pinarello headbadges.

*Come to think of it, he might have been my age.

Pinarellos from the 80's were notoriously bad for having the lettering peel off, also.
