What kind of saddle is this
I know that this is probably a generic saddle on here, but I was wondering if it was similar to the regal shape.

Its likely a Selle..Maybe a turbo but I think its the concorde...is that spelling right? I find those types of profiles of saddles to be comfortable for short sprints but the damn things really put pressure on my lower spine. That's a nice looking bike. I'd cold set that thing and add 10 speed modern hub and pimp those friction levers out :)
By pimp out I mean use em because they work good. |
I agree with the Concord due to it's shape, but it could be almost anything including Selle or maybe even some off brand which is likely the case since you can't make out any brand markings on it, though off brands can be made from Concord or Selle.

whoa, people: it's Concor (no "d". no "e") and "selle" just means "saddle" in Italian. which is why the word is always followed by "Italia" or "San Marco" or "Royal" or preceded by Isca as in "Iscaselle", end of grammar rant...
It might be a Selle San Marco Concor, but hard to say with just one poorly lit shot, looks a little like a Turbo knock off too. In any case, the Concor might be a little closer in fit to the Regal since they are both San Marco products...but not by much: I never took to the Concor (preferred the Turbo) but like the Regal better than both. |
I would say it is the Selle San Marco Concor Supercorsa. e.g.

I have a few early 80's peugeots and I get along with the stock saddles on them really well. Unfortunaly I'm not near them this evening so I can't get an exact answer for another 12 hours

Yeah, I really liked that saddle for the short time I rode that bike.
Sorefeet, no conversion for me. I sold the bike. Wouldn't have been worth it anyway, I could flex it a lot when I weighed 140 lbs. Now that I've been racing a ton and have gained a little mass (150-155) it really wouldn't work well. My trek 760 works well for the job, but I haven't ridden it in months :( Silly power meters! |
