Gran Sport and Record

Hello all I posted this thread before but i had to update it with pics because some of your answers were not clear for me. I have a 1970 Schwinn paramount that is all Campy Record with Cinelli Giro D'Italia bars and Suntour VGT-luxe rear derailleur and barcons. My record front derailleur broke on one of the welds and is un-fixable so i recently purchased a New Old Stock Campy Gran Sport online. To me they look exactly the same but I was wondering if there are any big differences in quality because I have had this bike for about ten years now and its my tourer. I will be replacing the Suntour parts soon to make it all Campy so I was just wondering if this is a wise move to go with the Gran Sport front D. Thanx

Your new derailleur is perfectly fine, IMO - I wouldn't hesitate to use it on a Paramount.
