Found this Raleigh on ebay and I have done a lot of research on the internet to try to figure out the year and model. Best I can tell from the pictures, the word "PRO" is printed on the upper tube. Can anyone help? I've posted some photos. Much Thanks

I'm not sure, but could it be a Raleigh Team USA Pro?

Raleigh Technium Pro. Year is....1988? Sorry, my Raleigh-dating expertise is only valid from 1970-1980.

Thanks for the quick response. I was thinking that also, but I thought the word "Team" was also suppose to be on the upper tube

With that aweful glued construction and pipe-fitter lugs? Seriously?

Oh no...... Should I be worried?

If aesthetics matter to you, you should be worried that it's ugly. As to the fact that it's aluminum, I personally won't buy older aluminum bikes because they tend to be teeth-rattlers in terms of ride quality and I have concerns about durability. But folks who own and ride them report a range of experiences.

My prior post was sent because a Raleigh Team Pro is (unless there are versions with which I am completely unfamiliar) a steel-framed bike with relatively nice lugwork and general workmanship - many are top-tier as far as older Raleighs are concerned. It's pretty evident at even a cursory glance that your bike, while it may or may not ride quite well, is as different from a Team Pro as cheese is from chalk.

I see, so the prior post that states that it is a Technium Pro is probably more accurate? I just haven't seen one with this paint or decal

It's definitely aluminum, which says "Technium" to me. So yes, the other guess is definitely the better one. Having said that, I know considerably more about the Team Pros than I do about the Techniums (Technia?)
