Rod Brake Handlebars

Any body know when English rod brake handlebars went from sweptback to a north-roadish profile? Tim

No, some are swept straight back, but some sweep forward and upward before they sweep back. I have a couple of 1970s Tourists which are swept forward then back and they definitely have rod brakes.
