All 1988 Paramounts carry 50th anniversary badging. The limited edition ones have gold forks, I believe they were only available in red or black, although a white one recently showed up.

Similar to the 2003 Corvette, they all had 50th anniversary badges but there was also the 50th anniversary edition Corvette with special paint and a unique interior.

Do we know for fact that it's a PX10? (It's a higher-end Peugeot, in any case.)

Nice bike.

That falcon merckx is a big hunk of junk. All those Japanese parts? Looks like someone piece milled a bike out of their parts bin to me. I've seen those sell in stock condition for as low as 4 to 600 consistently on ebay. I don't think I would even go two bills on that one because at the end of the day, it's still a crappy condition production bike.

Nice bike.
Generally, only the highest models in the Peugeot line up had a chromed rear triangle. If you see a chromed rear triangle, a good guess is a PX10. Plus, this one has a 531 sticker on the DT near the shifters and the 531 decals on the fork blades.

Blue Schwinn Sierra mountain bike - $50 (Sheboygan, WI)

Blue Schwinn Sierra mountain bike

The chrome and stretched out wheel base make me think mid '80s but the components almost look like 500LX which would be very late '80s if not early '90s. For $50 I think it worth checking out of your close. You won't make a killing on a flip but you may get a great MTB or dropbar conversion candidate.

Thank you! I saw that one as well- unfortunately it is way too big for me I would consider one that's anywhere from 52-54cm.

That's a pretty clean early 80s Japanese tourer from around 1983 or 1984.

That Voyageur been posted for ages. Maybe folks in Chicago care too much about scratches.

I resemble that remark. All my bikes wear their scratches proudly.

There are so many Schwinns in the Chicago area of all shapes, sizes and types that I think we are kind of desensitized to them. It has to be pretty unusual to catch our attention.
