52cm Guerciotti (1982) racing bike fully equipped with Campagnolo components. Still has sew-up tires on Mavic wheels. Very light weight bike would probably make a cool single speed if that's your thing. Email or call 503-281-7372

That's the Miyata that Big Chainring scored two days ago for $35. Lousy flippers, who do they think they are, making money off bikes just so they can buy more bikes?!?

The CL ad apparently went up at 3am. I knew I shouldn't have turned in at 2:45!

If I had $150 and the time to go get it, I would gladly pay what he's asking, as it's a Miyata true tourer (far as I can see) in what looks to be my size. But I don't, so someone else will have to enjoy it. I was just telling my friend Paul (Nighttiger on BF) how I'd rather get a Miyata touring bike with canti brakes than any type of racing bike. And there 'tis.

1985 Bridgestone 500 - $285 (Portland ME)

Date: 2010-01-29, 2:25PM EST
Reply to: sale-jge2a-1576632341@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

A Bridgestone 500 road bike. Light and fast, originally designed as a triathalon bike, it would make an ideal commuter or light tourer. This is the precurser to the Grant Peterson Rivendell bicycles. Ishiwata tubing, forged dropouts, eyelets, and stock components: Cyclone derailleurs, Sakae CR crank, Bridgestone brakes, Bridgestone tires, Wolber rims (see catalog for full spec). The only mod is a Shimano 600 free wheel.

Here is an article about the influence of Bridgestone on Grant Peterson
http://www.ebykr.com/2005/12/bridgestone/

Here is an article about the high quality and history of SunTour components
http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~hadland/page35.htm

Here is the bike as it appeared in the 1985 catalog (incl. specs)

I am moving across the country and selling my bike that I have used to ride around the city for the past year.

It is a red vintage Scwinn with new handle wraps, new tires, new seat (haven't put it on yet) and is in great condition for getting around the city.

Check the pic below and let me know if you are interested, would be happy to show you for a test drive.

Lugged Chromoly Road Bike - Beautiful Condition - $250 (Fenway/Backbay)

Date: 2010-01-29, 2:17PM EST
Reply to: sale-gekpe-1576617535@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

Giant road bike from the mid 90's I believe. Very nice condition, ready to ride.

Shimano 300ex group. All alloy components. Index shifting. Paint is beautiful, only real blemish is where somebody (not me) tried to scrape a sticker off the top tube and scratched up the paint.

I will only be able to show the bike on Sunday afternoon / evening. Please respond with PHONE NUMBER in email so I know you are legit.

Vintage Raleigh Competition-------Carlton (Metrowest)

Date: 2010-01-29, 11:14AM EST
Reply to: sale-qmr8c-1576254884@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

This is a very lightweight Vintage Raleigh Competition Road Bike.
Has a Hurlet front deraileur Sugino cranks.
Based on my research of the serial number ( G_ _ _ _), I believe it to be a 1972. If you think this is wrong, I would welcome any input.
It has a 59cm Reynolds 531-lugged frame (also marked Carlton) that could use a repainting due to surface rust in spots ( Not Bad).
Rims are marked Fiamme Italy with a red decal that is partially skuffed.
Not looking to get rich but looking for a decent offer. I will respond to offers via email. Please dont ask what I want for it. If I get a reasonable offer I will sell it asap.
Thank you

Schwinn Traveler - nothing fancy but these are really well made bikes, with great paint jobs. Dropouts have threaded eyelets. Steel wheels are the only drawback. But with a pair of alloy wheels its a heck of a good bike.

Looks like about a 48cm. A looooong stem.

Schwinn Paramount PDG high end road bike with Shimano 600. Great deal! - $295 (Corona, CA 92882)
Sc. Great Bike! Great price! It is a high-end bike and very reliable bike!
I think it was around $2,000 at the time.
This is a high end bike, classic light weight steel frame. The whole bike is weight around 17.5 lbs. Compare to 16 lbs light weight would cost you pver $2000 easily!
I just paid the local bike shop for tune up and lubed. It is smoth ride, smooth shift. This will last you forever.
If you are serious to buy, please call (714) 688-6604. Call is always better, because email does not work sometime. Or email to: tekcomp2001@yahoo.com.
PICK UP and pay CASH ONLY!

VIntage Schwinn Paramount (I've never seen one with stem shifters?)
http://chicago.craigslist.org/nch/bik/1571498511.html

This 1969 Paramount road bike is in very nice shape, as you can see from the pictures. The crank arms indicate almost no wear at all. Beautiful chrome and pin striping. The frame measures 23" from the center of the crank arm to the top of the top tube. The top tube measures 22.25" center-to-center. Standover height is 32.25".

I am the second owner and have ridden it less than 25 miles. The original owner was my neighbor and he rarely rode the bike.

What makes this bike special are the rare Prugnat lugs and the extra-long wheelbase (about 41.5"), perfect for distance rides. Components include: Campy derailleurs/crank/seatpost/hubs/headset, Weinmann center pull brakes, Campy chrome pedals, Cinelli bars, Cinelli old-style chromed steel stem, Brooks Pro saddle, and even the original Schwinn handlebar tape! I'm not certain if the wheels are original, but they have Record low flange hubs and include a brand new Regina Oro freewheel. This bike was ordered from the factory with the stem shifters and I think it would also be nice with Campy down tube shifters, readily available online.

There was once a pump mounted on the bike, with electrical tape covering the paint to protect it. Some of that electrical tape is still on the bike, and the next owner can carefully remove it.

This bicycle is a real collector's item and it is in fabulous shape.

I try to price my items fairly. If you want to bargain, that is fine but you’ll need to indicate what you are willing to pay and I will respond if the item is unsold and if I wish to lower the price. I will not sell this Paramount for much less that the asking price because I can obtain the same amount or more by disassembled the bike and selling the components sold individually. For example, both the Cinelli stem and the Campy chrome pedals have sold for $150 each. Frames like this easily sell for $400 - $500.

Cash and local pickup strongly preferred. No certified checks of any kind, but I will accept "regular" US checks, allowing ample time to clear with bank confirmation. I have lived in the same town for 50+ years, am a licensed professional, and am not going anywhere, so any potential buyers paying by check will have to have some trust.

I'll immediately remove this ad the moment this bike is sold, so please don't e-mail asking if it is available because I do not respond to such inquiries. Just assume it is ready for your enjoyment. The response I am looking for is "When can I come over to buy this?"

Thank you for your interest.

That Land Shark had a drastic price cut in two days....

Anyone interested in a 55cm Colnago frame but not the parts on it? I'm interested in the parts but not the frame.

Oh, I met him. Got a set of SPD pedals from him. Fair price, nice guy, and I would recommend him. You'll get exactly what he describes.
