56 cm cannondale sr600
56 cm cannondale sr600 - $390 (Teele square)

I've got a cannondale sr600 frame with shimano 105 components in fantastic mechanical condition with a frame that's sure to make you feel like you're racing a classic road bike from the mid 80s.

It's a size 56 so it's a little too large for me. But if you're between 5'10 and 6'2 you'll love this thing.

Super light, super tight. You're about to purchase a HIGH PERFORMANCE LAND MISSILE.

Indexed shifting for quick and solid selection from the rear 6 gears.

The pictures do more than a few paragraphs could. Check em out, let me know if you're interested.

Needed two stronger younger riders to keep air in these tires and these bikes will do the rest. Panasonic DX 4000 and DX 5000-one owners since 1989. Some of the best mid-range bikes ever for their original cost. We are retiring and will take $350 for both.

TREK TOURING 520 36" road bike - $250

At the Goodwill in Medford, OR. Not sure of the age and could need some work, but could be a good deal for someone.

Thank you very much for your comments. I took your advice and decided to buy this bike. I paid significantly less than asking but the bike is far from pristine. Seller's idea of "unbelievable condition" and "looks like new" is far from yours and mine. And the seller's weight scale is not far off. My scale registers it as 23.25 pounds. The wheels have Campy hubs and Mavic steel rims with tons of spokes. I'm sure that those wheels add a lot of weight.

Does anybody know how this bike rides?

Those rims are anodized alloy Mavics, probably an MA40 or something like that. They are definitely not steel. I would guess that they have 32 or 36 spokes, which would be pretty standard for something with a late 80s vintage.

This small Mondia Special has been floating on CL Los Angeles for a while now, between $450-500 -- which pretty much just covers the Campy NR parts and other components: Road bike - Campagnolo - Reynolds 531

As I'm sure is obvious with my posts, my knowledge of bikes is miniscule compared to the expertise of other forum members. I put a magnet against the rim and it was somewhat magnetic. The magnet was slightly attracted to the metal, not the way that a magnet "slams" on to steel. So I'm sure you're right. It is an alloy with a small amount of steel in it.

Well, I'm sure you will learn like the rest of us

Do the rims have their stickers on them? That would give the model number and would help ascertain what they are. The spokes are undoubtedly steel. Also, if you post close ups of the hub centers and flanges, the Campy gurus can tell you what the hubs are. I'm going to go ahead and guess that every thing on there is C-Record, which is a desirable racing group. The Delta brakes, apparently, are more like "speed adjusters" rather than brakes.

As for how Masi's ride, to many people this is *the* brand against which all others are compared. While I have never swung a leg over a Masi, I would imagine that it is quite lively.

I'd need to see some more photos. There are some details that don't look quite right. If it's for real, it's a great deal..

Delta brakes work. The issue was that they were heavy, expensive and somewhat more difficult to adjust...they actually work fine, though requiring a lot of toe. They actually have a great balance of power and modulation and I prefer them to single pivot.

RD is a Campagnolo Nuovo Gran Sport
Crankset is a Sugino Mighty
DT shifters are SunTour Power Ratcheting
FD looks like a Nuovo Record but could be a Nuovo Gran Sport
Brake levers look like Dia Compe
Bars and stem are 3ttt

So, if it's a Colnago, it has a hodgepodge of parts.
The interesting photo is the rear drop out. The connection of the dropout to the stay indicates that this is a high quality frame that was hand made.
Is it a Colnago? I don't know. It is certainly worth checking out if it is local.

Agreed. Rear derailleur braze on cable stop does not look correct though for a Colnago.
